General Policies

DAELA Cosmetic Tattoo Inc has company owned locations in Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA.

DAELA Cosmetic Tattoo Studios cannot perform services if you:

  1. Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  2. Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  3. Have not followed pre-care instructions.

Non-Refundable Deposits & Appointment Rescheduling

A $50-250 deposit is required in order to book any appointment and deposits are non-refundable. Deposit amounts vary based on service price. Non-refundable deposits are not meant to be punitive in nature. Our artists are paid on commission only and appointment slots are 2-3 hours, so late cancellations and no-shows cause them a loss of income with no chance to fill the spot.

We understand that life happens, and we will reschedule your appointment or apply the deposit to another service, but we do not offer refunds of the deposit.

48 Hour Notice

We request that you supply notice that you need to reschedule as soon as you know. Anything over 48 hours is greatly appreciated by the studio and the artist. We can reschedule on shorter notice as long as late cancellations are not habitual. No shows will result in a complete loss of deposit.

Please allow ample time to park and arrive in the studio. Contact us if you are going to be late. Being more than 20 minutes late to your appointment may result in the need to reschedule your appointment.

Before Care

We supply before care instructions and require that they are followed. The instructions are not arbitrary and things we ask you to avoid, like alcohol, blood thinners, aspirin and fish oil cause excessive bleeding and poor healed results. You may be turned away and forfeit your deposit if before care instructions are not followed.

Consultations

We make sure every client is at ease in our studio, with our staff and with our services. We do not move forward with any appointment until the client and artist are 100% satisfied with the pre-drawn, measured area of tattoo and color choice. If, during the consultation phase of your appointment you decide not to proceed, your deposit can be applied to another service. If you and the artist mutually agree that we should not proceed, you may apply to another service or receive a refund.

Healing & After Care

Healed results will vary with each individual client. We supply very detailed aftercare instructions, following these instructions will provide the best possible healed result. We have no control over what occurs during the healing process. It is crucial that you follow before and after-care instructions.

Touchups

Some services include all sessions, and some services offer a touchup at an additional cost. This is clearly marked on our pricing. We prefer to schedule your touch-up before you leave after your initial appointment, however, if you don’t schedule before you leave, it is your responsibility to have your included touch-up appointment before 12 weeks have passed. There is a touchup available between 13-20 weeks as well.

Previous Work & Removals

PLEASE NOTE: If you have had your eyebrows previously tattooed and are interested in a cover-up/re-work, you must email us a clear photo prior to booking your appointment. We cannot guarantee results for cases such as these and we must approve that your eyebrows are workable. We may suggest removal in cases where the previous work is too dark, dense, discolored, or large. If we are covering previous work it is considered a new appointment.

Health & Safety Policy

DAELA Cosmetic Tattoo Studios are all Health and Safety Approved

Did you know that every state has its own rules (or lack thereof) governing cosmetic tattoo? Our mission is to provide the nation, not just with the best artists in the industry and the best customer service, but also the best health and safety protocol. This means we spend more on sanitization supplies and staff to implement our procedures, but we think it’s worth it. We believe you will agree.

DAELA Cosmetic Tattoo: Health and Safety Approved

DAELA Cosmetic Tattoo Studio’s follow the strictest health and safety rules in the nation.

Why is this important to you? A tattoo studio’s procedures and operations of practicing safe tattooing are in place to help reduce the risk of infections and spread of blood borne pathogens associated with tattooing. If performed improperly these risks can increase. Because most states do not have guidelines, DAELA Cosmetic Tattoo has adopted guidelines that include the strictest of all states and all DAELA Studios follow these guidelines no matter what state we are in, ensuring that you will not be exposed to health contaminants or safety concerns. It’s not just health and safety we are after, we also want your experience to be the best possible from start to finish, and the cleanliness of our studios adds to your experience.

Our entire staff of artists, customer service staff and studio owners follow the same protocols.

If you are visiting or considering visiting a DAELA Cosmetic Tattoo for your cosmetic tattoo or paramedical tattoo procedure, you will be in the safest (and cleanest) hands possible.

This is DAELA’s commitment and our guarantee to every client and every member of our staff.
